Terms & Conditions


All prices quoted in this book are exclusive of VAT. Rates for Plant and Tool Hire are based on a 5- day working week. Rates for all Non-Mechanical Plant are based on a 7-day working week. After the first week, rates then revert to 1/5 or 1/7 of the weekly rate for each day as appropriate. We also have a standard weekend hire rate. All periods are chargeable, including Bank Holidays. Some equipment may be subject to minimum hire periods. We reserve the right to change rates, without notice.


Customers must call the office to off-hire any equipment which requires collection. This practice also applies to short term hires. Equipment will remain on-hire, chargeable until we are notified otherwise and an off-hire number is issued.


Trade accounts are available subject to the completion of a written application form requiring two separate references.


Deposits are required from all customers who do not hold current trade account facilities. We do not accept cheques as deposits or payments. Cash deposits are subject to conditions. The chosen method of deposit is Visa/Debit card. We also require two separate forms of identification, showing name and current address, ideally driving licence and passport. Deposits are refunded, less any hire charges on safe return of the equipment.


Delivery and Collection can be provided by our own vehicles at an additional cost.


We reserve the right to charge for cleaning on equipment which is returned excessively dirty.


We are happy to consider discounts for long term hires over 4 weeks on any equipment.


All powered equipment is supplied with a full tank of fuel allowing customers to get straight to work. We charge for all fuel used or alternatively customers can return the equipment full, where no further fuel charges will apply.


We charge a re-sharpening charge for all breaker steels used. Sharpening charges may also apply to other machines as and where required including Wood Chippers, Stump Grinders, Saws and Planers.


Customers are responsible for all damage or losses of equipment and as such are strongly advised to insure against this. In the event of any loss we also reserve the right to charge 2/3 lost hire charges until full payment is received. We draw your attention to clause 8 of our standard terms and conditions of hire.


All equipment is subject to HAE (Hire Association Europe) standard terms and conditions of hire. These are printed on the reverse of our hire contracts and are also available separately on request.


Tyre Repairs/Punctures are the Hirer’s responsibility.

The Hirer is responsible for oils, grease, water and fuel.
